We look forward to giving a warm welcome to you at our home, the old Saracens Head Pub which we have worked hard over the last few years to renovate and make into our home and Bed & Breakfast.

We, are Wade and Samantha (Sam) Mason.

Wade is originally from Birmingham but after meeting 16 years ago on a night out in Poulton now resides with me, Sam, in Preesall. I was born in Blackpool in a B&B which my parents ran for a few years and afterwards grew up in Poulton from the age of 2. 

I have lived in Preesall for 23 years and after Wade moved here in 2011, we talked of moving and buying our forever home. Trying to decide where we would like to live was the difficult bit, be it in the local area here or in Birmingham.

After we married in 2013 we seriously started looking and in 2014 onto the market came the Saracens Head pub! Our minds started spinning with the opportunities, and after a few viewings and long discussions over a bottle of wine or two we decided yes lets go for it. 

As usual, as you all see on the TV, like grand designs, it never quite goes to plan and to the budget! After completely stripping out the old pub and removing every internal wall, floor and ceiling and the whole back of the building we have redesigned it and rebuilt it into a home we absolutely love.

We still have quite a way to go but for now we have 4 very comfortable B&B rooms, a dining room and a cosy guest lounge.

We look forward to welcoming anyone who walks through our door and truly hope that you leave refreshed after a good nights sleep and a tasty and satisfying breakfast with the intention to come and visit us again!
